My Process of Creating
My creative process begins with a spontaneous thought or a moment of external inspiration. Alongside the initial idea, I often imagine a deeper intention—something the object should convey beyond its physical form.
When designing the Tensegrity Rocking Side Table, my goal was to create a visually appealing object that momentarily prompts the viewer to wonder, ‘What is holding up the top half of that table?
The image below traces my creative process—from the initial inspiration in the top left, to three concept sketches, six working prototypes, and finally the completed design.
The table is composed of walnut, brass, glass, and stainless steel cables.
