Join MIT affiliates (and others) for a Thursday morning ride on the Minuteman Bikeway.

For the remainder of 2026, our start time will be 1 PM.
As this event could be canceled abruptly, always check this Ride Status Update shortly before attending.
Ride Status Updates will be post no later than 8:30 AM on the day of the ride.
The event will be canceled if 1) the organizer is unable to attend, 2) the predicted temperature <45°, 3) probability of rain >30%, or 4) air quality is poor.
🕙 When:
Thursdays at 1 PM ( or 10 AM.) For the reminder of our 2026 cycling season, our start time will be 1 PM.
Duration: 1.5-2.5 hours.
🕙 Where:
Ride begins and ends at Thorndike Field Park parking lot (free parking,) 99 Margaret Street, Arlington, MA. Just 0.2 miles from Redline’s Alewife Station.
🚴♂️ Ride Details:
We’ll cycle at a relaxed pace of 10–13 mph on the Minuteman Bikeway, from Thorndike Field Parking lot to Bedford’s Depot Park, 20 miles round trip. We will occasionally stop at Kickstand Café ☕ in Arlington on our return leg; assuming we do not stop, we should return to Thorndike Field Parking lot about noon.
When it’s safe, cyclists are encouraged to ride two abreast so as to facilitate conversations.
It is not uncommon for cyclists to join the group for only part of our ride.
